THE Post Office want to open up a post office in Millerston - after a branch was closed in 2016.
They are seeking the views of the public over their proposal to reopen in the East End area.
A new agent has been appointed and it is hoped the Post Office will operate from Best One, 1763 to 1765 Cumbernauld Road.
The service is expected to open on May 14 but the public consultation will be ongoing until June 1.
The previous Post Office branch in Millerston closed in December 2016 due to operational reasons.
The Post Office said: "Our priority is to safeguard Post Office services to the local community in the longer term. The re-opening of the branch will create a more secure Post Office service to the local Millerston community for the future.
"We’re planning to re-open the Post Office service on Monday, May 14. However this does not affect the period of public consultation which is ongoing until June 1, 2018."
