Update: The street has now been reopened to traffic. Police are expected to remain on the scene for a number of days.
Police closed off a street close to the Barras market due to an ongoing incident.
A cordon was placed around Charlotte Street, beside Braemar Bar, as officers dealt with the situation.
No one is thought to have been injured but police are unable to comment further on what is happening.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "We are currently in attendance at an ongoing incident in Charlotte Street.
"No further information is available."
"The road has been reopened but police will be there for the next few days."
The road is expected to be closed for a number of hours.
