A GLASGOW man has now been missing for 10 years after vanishing from his Cardonald home.
There has been no trace of David Findlay since Monday, May 5, 2008 when he left his home to go for a walk.
Mr Findlay was diagnosed with the early onset of dementia the Christmas before he went missing.
Previously, The Evening Times asked Police Scotland for CCTV images of Mr Findlay which are believed to be the last time he was seen.
We published the pictures of Mr Findlay, who was 69 when he went missing, in Morrisons Cardonald.
Police, however, also say the last confirmed sighting of David was around 6pm on Sauchiehall Street at West Nile Street on the day he went missing.
Officers followed up a number of unconfirmed sightings in Cumbernauld, Coatbridge, Milngavie, Kirkintilloch, Shettleston and Kilsyth but all attempts to locate David have proved unsuccessful.
His heartbroken daughter Linda has campaigned for a decade for any information which may lead to her father.
She previously said: “I follow all the other missing people cases. Everytime I hear someone is missing, I just feel for them and the family.
“When remains are found I am always thinking is this it. I am always thinking is it going to be this time. But there is still nothing. “I am still hopeful. I will keep it going until I get closure one way or another.”
The grandfather-of-five is 5ft 4 inches, of medium build and he had grey receding hair.
He was last seen wearing gold-rimmed glasses, grey trousers, a brown suede jacket, a grey jumper with white and red stripes, and black shoes.
Police Scotland said their investigation into Mr Findlay's case is still open.
Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of David Findlay is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101.
