A POPULAR Glasgow nightclub is set to host a tribute night to Swedish DJ Avicii after his death last month at the age of 28.

The Garage on Sauchiehall Street said it will “celebrate the life, times and absolute anthems of Avicii” in a dedicated night on Friday, May 25.

DJ Garry Garry Garry will be playing hits all night long up in the Attic from opening at 11pm to doors closing at 3am.

“The man, the legend, the best,” the venue added as it released details about the night.

Avicii “could not go on any longer”, his family said in a statement released on April 26.

The Grammy-nominated electronic performer, born Tim Bergling, was found dead on April 20 in Muscat, Oman.

Details about his death were not revealed.

His family said: “Our beloved Tim was a seeker, a fragile artistic soul searching for answers to existential questions.”

Avicii retired from touring in 2016.
