A DATING service called ‘Frolicing Fenians’ has been set up on Facebook, aiming to pair up love-seeking, Hoops-mad singletons.

In just under a week, it has already seen over 140 people gain access into the closed group.

The page describes itself as “a group for the single Celtic FC fans to have a laugh and miby hook up.”

It adds: “No Sevco stuff on page. It’s not a discussion board to air your views on that shower eh s****. It’s a group where you can post your love for Celtic and miby get with someone who supports the same team.

“There won’t be any tolerance to domestic violence efter Celtic hammer that mob again. Have fun bhoys and ghirls and ye never know - you miby just get lucky.

Glasgow Times:

“There will be no obscenities...to the ghirls or bhoys. We like to keep the group free from such things. Just have fun, talk away and post your love for Celtic and if someone catches your eye, tag them in a post then they can decide if they want to add you and have a private chat. Don’t just go adding them.”

“Oh, admins get first choice of the singles lol,” it adds.

The page may find itself up against some stiff competition, though, after Facebook announced plans to add a dating service to its social media platform last week.

Chief executive Mark Zuckerberg said the site would soon add a dating tool aimed at creating “real, long-term relationships.”

The opt-in feature will enable users to create a separate dating profile to their existing Facebook account, with the site then offering recommendations based on preferences, things in common with other users of the tool, and any mutual friends.
