An elderly woman has been rushed to hospital after being struck by a car in Glasgow city centre.
The female was hit around 1.15pm on Jamaica Street before being taken by ambulance to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
Police reduced the road to one lane at its junction with Midland Street for a number of hours.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland, said: "We were called to a report of an elderly woman being struck by a car around 1.15pm.
"She was taken by ambulance to hospital and her condition is currently unknown.
"Enquiries into the incident are ongoing."
