AN appeal to find a vintage Rangers shirt for a fan who passed away aged just 28 has ended in success.

Devastated Emma Hadden appealed to fellow supporters to help her track down a 1989 Rangers top for the funeral of her partner Christopher Paterson.

The Livingston-man passed away suddenly on May 3.

Emma and Christopher's heartbroken sister Angela Paterson were able to track down their coveted shirt from a "fellow bear" on Twitter.

Writing on Facebook shortly after her brother’s death, Ms Paterson, wrote: “So at 5.10pm my life changed forever my wee bro Christopher was taken from us way too soon.

“I can’t explain how any of us are feeling apart from lost and numb right now and feel like it's a nightmare we are all going to wake up from, sadly it's not.

“Words can't express how much I'm going to miss this lad especially his humour, cheekiness and his straight to the point attitude.

"He will NEVER be forgotten and as his favourite song would say...

"You're simply the best, better than all the rest.

“Better than anyone, anyone I ever met “Fly high bro and I will see you soon.”
