THE Scottish FA has handed a notice of complaint to Hearts forward Steven Naismith following a challenge on Celtic captain Scott Brown.

The incident occured during the Bhoys' 3-1 win at Tynecastle on Sunday.

Naismith will still be available for Wednesday's Edinburgh Derby clash with Hibernian in Gorgie, but faces a hearing on Friday.

The Compliance Officer has offered a two-match suspension and the capital club has until 3pm on Thursday 10 May to respond.

Brown yesterday insisted he did not hold a grudge against his former Scotland teammate for the rash tackle.

“I get on brilliantly with Naisy and still will to be fair," he said.

“It’s one tackle. I’ve had a lot worse from a lot of other people and still speak to them. We both want to win. He was playing in a kind of number 10 role and I was sitting in front of the back four so something was going to happen.

“It is what it is. He wants people to win. He’s played in the English Premier League so he knows what top standard is and he’s maybe not getting it where he is.”
