If all the anatomy and physiology gets too much, Toby the Puggle Dog, the unofficial mascot of the UofG Medical School, is available for some pet therapy to ease the stress of exam time.
Students will be following in the footsteps of no less than Joseph Lister who help develop antiseptic and Ian Donald who paved the way for feotal ultrasound scans as well as countless other medical notables.

The school has a Teaching & Learning Centre, right next to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, dubbed the 'busy Lizzy' and the largest acute medical facility in Western Europe.
Students work alongside world-changing researchers and the course has links with 3000 medical, nursing and allied health professional staff working in Glasgow and West of Scotland, in approximately 25 hospitals sites and nearly 200 GP surgeries.
The Glasgow Coma Scale, used world-wide to describe the level of consciousness in a person following a traumatic brain injury, was developed here.
