THE hunt is on for a young Glasgow boy to play the lead role in an upcoming, feature film.
Edinburgh-based casting agent Simone Pereira Hind is looking for an eight to 12-year-old white boy for the project, shooting from late September to November, in both Scotland and Luxembourg.
The film is by the maker of Sunshine On Leith and the boy’s character is “Manny.”
Manny is a closed-off, secretive boy from a middle-class family who, because of a huge trauma he has suffered, has withdrawn into his own imaginative world in which he is ‘God’ playing with his other characters like marionettes.
The casting agent said: “We are looking for an intelligent, focused young actor with a soft Scottish accent to play this exciting role.”
No previous experience is needed.
