POLICE have discovered the body of a man on a Saltcoats beach.
Emergency services were called shortly before 11am this morning after reports of a man's body being seen on the beach near to Harbour Point, Saltcoats.
This site is close to Sandylands Caravan Park and the Highland Meats factory, our sister title the Ardrossan Herald reports.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "At around 10.50am on Thursday, May 17, police were called to a report of the body of a man on the beach near to Harbour Point, Saltcoats.
"Emergency Services are at the scene and enquiries are ongoing."
