HALLSIDE Heritage Park steering team is holding a public consultation on the proposed regeneration of the former Hallside Steelworks site in Cambuslang.
The group is trying to bring the neglected space into use as a community greenspace with outdoor and environmental educational resources for local schools and nurseries.
It would also bring opportunities for physical health and wellbeing activities and spaces for quiet reflection.
A feasibility study into possible future uses of the 33 acre site has been carried out by a landscape design consultancy and this will be available for all to see and comment on.
Uses are likely to include wildlife conservation, active and passive recreational use and educational uses for the surrounding community.
A drop-in consultation session is being held this week at Halfway Community Hub at 236 Hamilton Road on Saturday from 2pm to 4pm.
