A GLASGOW youngster who was inspired by funnyman Billy Connolly to raise cash for charity has smashed her target by more than 2,000 percent.
As previously reported in the Evening Times, little Abby McConnell was bowled over by her class project on Billy Connolly and decided to raise funds for Parkinson's UK.

And now, one month on from taking part in the charity's biggest event of the year in the West of Scotland - the Walk for Parkinson’s at Glasgow’s Pollok Country Park - the seven-year-old's target of just £50 has been smashed.
The youngster has now raised a staggering £1,025 and it's spurred her on to keep going.

Abby, from Mount Florida, will now take part in Edinburgh's Wee Wander Kiltwalk in September.
