Speculation continues to surround Rangers strikers Alfredo Morelos and Eduardo Herrera and their futures at Ibrox.

Morelos, Rangers top scorer last season with 18 goals, is wanted by Turkish Super Lig outfit Besiktas, champions in 2016 and 2017, but who only managed to finish fourth last term, edged out Galatasaray, Fenerbahce and Basaksehir, with just four points covering that quartet.

But while the 21-year-old Colombian was linked with an £8m move to Chinese club Beijing Renhe earlier in the year, Besiktas are believed to want Morelos on a year-long loan deal, with the possibility of a permanent move after that.

That is unlikely to appeal to Rangers, who would want a sizeable fee to lose such a talent.

Meanwhile, Eduardo Herrera appears to be on the way out of Scotland and back to Mexico.

The target man, signed by Pedro Caixinha last summer for £1.5m, scored just twice in his first – and likely to be only season – in Glasgow, despite making 24 appearances, the last of those coming back in February in a Scottish Cup tie against Ayr United at Somerset Park.

However, his miserable time could be nearing an end with Chivas being linked with the 29-year-old. Rangers however, are unlikely to get anything like the fee they forked out less than 12 months ago.
