A MAN is in a serious condition in hospital after he was attacked in Carntyne.
The 51-year-old was rushed to Glasgow's Royal Infirmary following attack at around 5.25pm on Friday.
One resident told The Evening Times the area at Newington Street at Ruchazie Road was cordoned off for several hours.
Police were called to a report of man being seriously injured.
The Evening Times also understands that cops are following a definite line of enquiry.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “A 51-year-old man was taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary where he is in serious but stable condition.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
