WHEN it comes to dream days it doesn’t get better than waking up to find you’re £20,000 richer – that was the reality for Diane Dennis from Maryhill.

The 31-year-old is now one step closer to buying her first home thanks to entering the competition with radio station Clyde 1.

The Lloyds Pharmacy prescriptions dispenser almost missed the phone call of her dreams as she’d completely forgotten she’d entered. It was only when Clyde 1 Breakfast presenter George Bowie called for the second time that she actually picked up.

Diane said: “This feels amazing – £20,000 is a life changing amount of money to win. I’ve been renting for years and I never imagined I’d ever be able to buy my own home and now I can start house hunting.”

The news comes just as Diane is about to celebrate her 32nd birthday so celebrations are definitely on the cards.

She said: “It doesn’t feel real yet, it’s still sinking in but I’ll celebrate my win with some drinks and toast to my favourite station – Clyde 1.

“My boyfriend didn’t believe me when I first told him, I sent him the clip of me on the radio before he actually realised I wasn’t pulling his leg.”

Diane is keen to look for a flat in the West End of Glasgow for her, her boyfriend Colin and their dog Lola, and wants to start looking as soon as possible.

Clyde 1 Bowie @ Breakfast presenter George Bowie said: “Diane is a brilliant winner – buying a home is a massive milestone in your life and I’m so happy that Clyde 1 is able to help make this happen for her. We hope you find your dream home.”
