Police are searching for a man who failed to turn up to a number work appointments.

David Sneddon, last seen in Cumbernauld Road, Hogganfield, by a family member around 9am on Monday morning when he left for work.

He was travelling in his white van, a Peugeot Bipper with registration MW62 UPA.

David failed to show up to a number of work appointments and didn't return home later in the evening.

His family contacted police and reported him missing and efforts to locate him are underway.

Police have said David has been dealing with some personal issues recently and his family is growing increasingly concerned for his welfare.

Inspector Catriona Sutherland said: "It's out of character for David to go off and not be in touch with his family.

"We continue to speak to family members and friends for any clues as to where David may be. We are also checking CCTV images to try and locate the van.

"His family is understandably worried for him and just want to know he is safe and well. If anyone has seen David or has any knowledge as to his whereabouts, please contact us.

"Anyone with information is asked to call officers at Shettleston Police Station via 101."
