SEVERAL arrests have been made after gangs of youths allegedly caused disorder near a railway station at the weekend.
Police Scotland said Balloch, and the rail network to the area, were victim to "unacceptable levels of youth disorder" on Saturday. May 19.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Reports of persons engaged in disruptive behaviour were received relating to Balloch Park, Balloch Railway Station and on the trains.
"Police Scotland assisted British Transport Police to arrest a number of individuals.
"CCTV has now been recovered from various locations and the identity of others involved is being progressed. These individuals will be dealt with in due course.
"As a result of last weekend's incidents, British Transport Police and Police Scotland will be conducting a joint initiative this weekend to prevent a recurrence of such behaviour. A robust policing style will be adopted and any persons attending the area with criminal intent will be dealt with. Appropriate bail conditions will be sought where appropriate.
"We ask that parents and guardians are aware of their child's whereabouts, and ensure they do not become involved in situations that could result in police action."
