A POINTS failure between Cambuslang and Newton is causing rush-hour misery for train passengers travelling between Glasgow Central and Motherwell.
The route affected is ScotRail between Dalmuir / Milngavie / Glasgow Central and Motherwell / Larkhall / Lanark / Cumbernauld / Edinburgh.
Virgin Trains between Glasgow Central and London Euston and Virgin Trains East Coast between Glasgow Central and London Kings Cross are also affected.
Trains may be delayed by up to 30 minutes or cancelled and disruption is expected to continue around 9am.
Buses have been requested to run from Larkhall and Newton.
ScotRail customers may use their ticket on the following buses:
First Buses:
JMB:
- Lanark - Hamilton
- Shotts - Motherwell
Whitelaws:
- Larkhall – Motherwell - Hamilton
