YOUNG musicians in Scotland are joining forces on a new piece of music to celebrate Glasgow’s hosting of the European Championships.

The National Youth Choir of Scotland, National Youth Orchestras of Scotland, Scottish Youth Theatre and YDance will perform Tell Us Who We Are on August 7, 8 and 9 at the Old Fruitmarket.

The piece will include dance, drama and a community choir and is part of Festival 2018, the cultural programme for the Glasgow 2018 European Championships, from August 1-12.

Depute Leader of Glasgow City Council, Cllr David McDonald said: “Festival 2018 is an incredible opportunity to showcase the artistic talent that exists in Glasgow and across Scotland – and it is really encouraging to see so many young people, in particular, take that chance.”
