A mindless Celtic fan has been caught on camera trashing a parked car in Maryhill.

The unknown man unleashed his rage on a white car parked outside Harvey's Bar on Maryhill Road on Thursday around 4pm.

A local resident on Lochburn Road looked on in amazement as the Hoops fan poured a bag of rubbish on the vehicle before yanking off its windscreen wipers.

The man, who was armed with a pen, then turned his attention to the car's wing mirrors.

After a brief struggle, he pulled both off before then going for the registration plate and attempting to open the bonnet.

Motorists can be seen driving by as the man carries out the bewildering attack.

Later on in the video, he begins gesticulating and throwing rubbish at unsuspecting motorists and uttering comments that can't be heard in the video.

After suitably damaging the car, the brazen vandal then walks up Maryhill Road.

A police van attended the scene shortly after.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "We were called to a report of a car being damaged around 4pm.

"A 61-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident."
