REALITY TV star Brian Matthews has been left red-faced after an Airbnb user left a scathing review of his Glasgow flat.

The Glow lothario, 35, hit back at the user of his swanky Merchant City pad before deleting the listing from the popular holiday home rental site.

The review from customer Elizabeth read: “Location was great, if you follow the instructions relatively easy to find but it is in a large locked apartment complex.

“You’re not necessarily getting the actual number of the building on Oswald.

“Had a surprise roommate which turned out fortunate because there was no binder of information concerning the place so we go our wifi information and basic run down from our roommate.

Glasgow Times:

“The place had a horrendously dirty microwave, mud on the carpet, the owner was chintzy on the toilet paper and the walls were dirty with mysterious markings.

“Found it hard to relax because I simply wanted to power wash everything. Brian was so slow to communicate and I never actually met him.”

A furious Brian responded: “The main gates through to the forecourt have a number on them and it’s a photographed step-by-step guide to get into the flat so it shouldn’t and hasn’t been difficult for anyone else.

“Don’t know why it was a surprise that you had a flat mate, the flat is described as room only and states a shared living/kitchen area, so I’m not sure why you were surprised to be sharing the flat with someone.

“A run down is on Airbnb app and the wifi password and code is literally on a sticker on the info book so again not sure why it was difficult for you.

“The microwave is now replaced, it wasn’t dirty, it was worn.

“The guest before you had left stains on my lovely cream carpets and you were moving in the next day therefore I didn’t have time to get a professional to stain remove the small marks.

Glasgow Times:

“The toilet paper is stored in the bathroom cabinet, I have now put a label on the cabinet for anyone who wouldn’t think to look there.

“You speak of power washing everything. I wish you power washed the toilet pan before you left. I think you may have had a bad curry the night before.

“I have noted all of your points and will make sure all are amended. Thank you for your feedback. Safe travels. Thank you for your stay.”

The flat has since been removed, however, Brian described it as a “stunning modern flat situated right in the heart of Glasgow City Centre’s Merchant City.”

He added: “Extremely spacious stylish living room and open plan kitchen area.

“Trendy cosy bedroom, king size bed and lockable door. Your own personal bathroom, fresh towels and toiletries. Free WIFI throughout. Free secured parking, Minutes from all transport amenities The perfect flat to enjoy all Glasgow has to offer!!”

The exchange between Brian and Elizabeth was shared on Twitter by Drew Henry, a 24-year old, Wolverhampton-born singer in Glasgow.

When the post surfaced, Brian sent Drew a private message, urging him to take the post down.

Glasgow Times:

However, Drew shared a screenshot of the message on Twitter, seemingly goading the former reality TV star.

Brian told Drew in the message: “Ha!! Drew could you delete that please mate. I hate people knowing any of my business. Cheers.”

In his post on Twitter, Drew captioned it: “ICYMI: ‘dirty microwave, muddy carpets, dirty walls with mysterious markings’ a review of @Brian_Glow @Airbnb listing... ?? #glasgow #airbnb.”
