A POPULAR dance promoter has issued an ecstasy warning after two people died at a music festival.

Colours told clubbers to be aware of the super strength 'Punisher' ecstasy pills in a post on social media.

Tommy Cowan, 20, and Georgia Jones, 18, lost their lives after reportedly taking “Green Heineken” ecstasy at Portsmouth's Mutiny Festival last weekend.

It is understood that there are several bad batches of the drug in the UK at the moment.

Glasgow Times:

In the post, the dance promoter said: "Rave safe, if any of you are going out partying this weekend.

"As you seen from last week's news, there is a bad batch of pills going about, we all want you to go home to your family and friends after an event.

"Stay safe, rave safe and look after each other."

The post was accompanied with a picture of the dangerous pills.

Parklife festival, in Heaton, Manchester, also shared a photo from drugs testing NGO The Loop to warn revellers.

The festival’s official Twitter account posted: “No doubt you have seen in the press about two very sad tragedies at a festival over the weekend.

“There is a VERY strong batch of pills in circulation, with strength over 330mg.

“These tablets, along with others, can result in death. Please act responsibly and look after each other.”

Colours is due to host superstar DJ Eric Prydz at Braehead Arena tonight.
