A MASSIVE drugs bust has uncovered cannabis worth a whopping half a million pounds.
On Friday, as part of an intelligence-led operation, officers from Greater Glasgow CID executed a search warrant within a business premises in the Tollcross Road area of city.
Cannabis plants with an estimated street value of £500,000 were seized during the operation.
Enquiries are continuing to identify those responsible for growing the plants.
Detective Inspector Steven Elliott said "Drugs and the people who supply them have absolutely no place in our communities, we have teams of specialist officers working every day to tackle this issue.
"We recognise the damage it causes to communities across the country and remain committed to tackle the problem with the assistance of the public.
“Anyone who has any information on people involved in these types of crimes, are asked to contact police on 101. Information can be passed in confidence to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
