A YOUNG man has died at Bearsden train station following an early-morning incident.
British Transport Police said, shortly before 10am this morning, officers were called to the station following a report that the 20-year-old had fallen from scaffolding, causing serious injury.
It is now believed he may have fallen from a ladder.
Police and paramedics from the Scottish Ambulance Service attended. However, despite their best efforts, the man could not be saved.
Officers remain on scene and are making enquiries to establish how the person came to fall.

The man's family have been informed and are being supported by officers.
Anyone who was at the station and saw what happened is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 147 of 05/06/2018.
ScotRail said: “We’re currently unable to serve Bearsden, Hillfoot or Milngavie stations. We’re working closely with the emergency services.”
Disruption is expected until 1pm.
Transport Minister Humza Yousaf paid tribute to the person who died and ensured the incident would be “thoroughly investigated.”
