GLASGOW is gearing up to welcome Scotland’s biggest and only gaming convention this weekend.

PLAY Expo will see gamers unite for a bumper marathon of gaming and a celebration of the latest industry developments at the Braehead Arena this Saturday and Sunday.

Packed full with exciting feature exhibits and gaming mayhem, the two-day event features the largest selection of gaming under one roof in Scotland.

For those keen to try out the latest in gaming developments, there will be virtual-reality experiences with the latest in multiplayer technology, as well as a next generation zone where players can try out some upcoming games set for big things in the future.

A dedicated zone to cult gaming classic Minecraft will see players battle it out for survival across multiple landscapes and challenges.

A tabletop gaming zone will also cater to all levels from seasoned Dragon Castle players to those whose knowledge starts and ends with Monopoly.

The event, designed for both children and adults, will boast an Indie Zone to showcase local gaming talent. Classic gaming fun is also to be had with a selection of awesome pinball machines courtesy of the Scottish Pinball Association.
