Scottish star Martin Compston has been rubbing shoulders with one of the best athletes on the planet.

The Greenock-born actor is taking part in charity football event Soccer Aid at Old Trafford with a whole host of famous faces.

He will be playing alongside the likes of Robbie Keane, Damian Lewis and Usain Bolt.

The actor has been pictured with his fellow teammates who will face England for the Rest of the World.

Martin shared a picture of him and Bolt, reading "The big man @usainbolt @socceraid rest of the world squad shaping up nicely."

Another photo shows Celtic-daft Compston and Nicky Byrne share the “Celtic connection.”

Soccer Aid was launched and co-founded in 2006 by Unicef UK Ambassador Robbie Williams and Jonathan Wilkes.
