FIRE crews rushed to a blaze in a block of flats in Govanhill.
The fire broke out in the close of a residential building on Victoria Road around 11.20am today.
There were no injuries during the incident and residents were allowed back into their homes after fire fighters put out the fire.
A spokeswoman said: “The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was alerted at 11.19am on Tuesday, June 12 to reports of a fire at a block of flats in Glasgow.
“Operation Control mobilised two fire engines to the fire at Victoria Road where firefighters extinguished a small fire in the communal close.
“Crews left the scene after ensuring the area was made safe.”
