SCOTRAIL have hit back at a vile troll who questioned the safety of "Pakistani drivers" on its trains.
The Twitter account Ali Roberts, which has since been deleted, contacted the rail firm to make a "formal complaint" about the seating situation.
When ScotRail staff directed the troll to their website's complaint department, he responded stating: "You have a Pakistani driving one of your trains.
"Do you really think that's safe?"
A staff member, dubbed "CM", then responded: "Yes. Very safe. Feel free to walk instead."
The firm's response prompted an outpouring of support from fellow passengers and Transport Minister Humza Yousaf, who has voiced his concerns about racism within politics.
Well done @ScotRail - Putting racists firmly in their place! https://t.co/iJ2Cmf357L
