A MAN has been charge with trying to steal a pensioner's handbag outside the New Victoria Hospital and robbing a discount store.
The 47-year-old man targeted the 78-year-old woman at the New Victoria Hospital, near to the bus stop at Queens Park and Langside Road.
He tried to grab a handbag from the pensioner around 1.20pm on Monday February 5.

Months later, he threatened staff in B&M Bargains on Bardowie Street around 5.05pm on Monday June 4 before making off with cash.
After being tracked down by police, the thief was arrested and charged in connection with the two robberies.

He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Friday and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
