A TERRIFIED teenager locked herself in a bathroom - after a intruder entered her home and attempted to grab her.
The 14-year-old was in her home in Faifley Road, Clydebank at around 9.45pm on Wednesday when the incident happened.
It is understood that the family said a man entered their home and chased the girl up the stairs.
He attempted to grab her but she locked herself away in the bathroom, and called her dad.
Police Scotland said they are investigating the incident.
It is thought the incident is not being treated as a housebreaking because they man entered the house and left.
A Police Spokeswoman said: "It was 9.45pm on Wednesday, June 13, police were called to an address in Faifley Road, Clydebank after a man had entered a house.
"He ran off a short time later and police enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances."

The girl was on the First Glasgow 267 service from the city centre on Saturday night when the man targeted her as she left the bus at Glasgow Road, Rutherglen at around 11.15pm.
