Comedian Sir Billy Connolly was 'on great form' when he visited a Glasgow salon this week as filming for a documentary came to an end.
Staff at Taylor Ferguson Hairdressing were surprised when the Big Yin walked through the doors of the Bath Street shop on Friday.
The shop posted a photo on their Facebook page with the Glaswegian, who has enjoyed a successful acting career alongside his life in comedy.
They wrote: "Lovely surprise visit to the salon from this chap today.
"Always a delight to welcome The Big Yin. Billy was on great form having just completed a documentary in Glasgow."
Fans were quick to comment on the photo and how good the 75-year-old was looking.
Jane Arundel Quigley wrote: "We met him in Wigtown a couple of weeks ago, they were filming here too."
Another, Ann Fitzsimmons added: "He's looking fab!"
Connolly recently described himself as as the “least patriotic man in the world” and said he dislikes people who “write England off because they’re Scottish”.
As previously reported by the Evening Times, the Scot told Radio Times: "I do love Scotland, but if the love for your country is all you have, you’re in a desperate state.
"I dislike people that write England off because they’re Scottish. It’s unfair and brutal.”
