GLASWEGIAN footballer Barry Douglas has become a father for the first time.
The Wolverhampton Wanderers left back, 28, announced the birth of his son Kaidyn on social media.

He said: "So at 2.01am this morning, my life changed forever. Our little champ was born weighing 6.9lbs.
"Mother and baby are well and both are looking as beautiful as ever.
"Can't thank my amazing wife enough for brinhing our boy into this world.
"She done incredible and I'm so proud of her. Love you princess. Welcome to the world Kaidyn Scott Douglas."

The footballer, who started his career at Queen's Park, later thanked his 45k fans on social media for their messages of congratulations.
Extremely overwhelmed by all the lovely messages we have received from everyone, still feels a bit surreal to think I’m now a father 🙈 2018 has been an incredible year for me in more ways than one but this is by far my greatest ever achievement 👶🏼 thanks everyone 👪💙

He also shared a cute image of him with his son watching the World Cup and joked "what better way to bond with my little guy".
