POLICE Scotland is appealing to customers who were in McDonald’s on Pollokshaws Road last week for their help in tracing a missing, vulnerable man.

Thomas Lennox, 19, of Airdrie was last seen at Hairmyres Hospital at around 7.20pm on Friday, June 8.

Following enquiries, officers have confirmed a sighting of Thomas on CCTV walking along Victoria Road in Glasgow at around 2.30am on June 10.

Officers now have sightings of him at that McDonald’s restaurant at around 2am where he is believed to have been talking to people outside.

Thomas is described as 5ft8 in height and of stocky build with short black hair.

When he was last seen, he was wearing a black and grey zipped hooded top, black tracksuit bottoms with writing on the left leg and red trainers.

Inspector Aidan Higgins, of East Kilbride Police Station said: “We are asking members of the public to think back and remember where they were between 1.30am and 3am on Sunday, June 10.

“You may have been at the Beyonce and Jay-Z concert on Saturday evening or have been returning home from a night out in Glasgow. Did you see or speak to a man matching his description?

“Were you at McDonald’s around that time? Do you remember Thomas being at the restaurant?

“If you have any information that can help us trace Thomas’ movements after that time, no matter how big or small, we would urge you to come forward.

“We would also appeal to anyone who may have been driving in that area in the early hours of the morning who may have dash-cam footage that can help us. You may have passed him and not realised.

“Thomas has mental health issues and has no medication with him or access to money. He has not made contact with any family or friends which is out of character. His family is desperately worried about him. As time goes on, we are becoming increasingly concerned about his well being.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact East Kilbride Police Station via 101, quoting incident number 3972 of Friday, June 8 2018.
