THE best and brightest of Glasgow have been recognised at tonight's Evening Times Streets Ahead awards.
Men, women and children who have transformed local communities for the benefit of residents were celebrated in a glittering ceremony at People's Palace Winter Gardens.
Evening Times editor Donald Martin hosted the event, while partners Glasgow City Council, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, City Building and City Charitable Trust all took a turn at presenting to the deserving winners.
The night started off with a poignant message from Donald and council leader Councillor Susan Aitken who thanked the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service for their incredible work during the Glasgow School of Art fire this weekend.
Guests were wowed by the talents of Ellie and Emma McConnachie and Ciaran Heggarty who took to the stage with their rendition of The Lumineers Ho Hey and a Whitney Houston classic.
However, the real stars of the show were the incredible finalists, each so deserving of the top spot.

The overall winner of the night was St Roch's Football Club who also picked up the Best Community Initiative gong.
While the Schools Award - Donald's self-confessed favourite award of the event - went to St John Paul II Primary.
The Evening Times chief told the packed audience: "We believe one person can make a difference to their street."
"[The projects] offer the opportunity to inspire and instil pride in communities," he added.
While Cllr Aitken added: "This evening is a wonderful opportunity for us to celebrate all the good things going on our neighbourhood."
