SCHOOLS across East Dunbartonshire are to close tomorrow for four-day strike action.
East Dunbartonshire Council said it was conducting "intensive discussions" in a bid to stop the industrial action.

However, a deal could not be met and the council confirmed all schools and nurseries would be closed on June 21, 22, 25 and 26.
Kelvinbank Adult Day Care Centre will also be closed while residents have been encouraged to keep up to date with the council website for more details on service disruption.

Parents hit out at the lack notice for the impending closures, which will reportedly result in the cancellation of several primary school graduation ceremonies.
While others blasted the council for failing to avert the issue by offering a better deal.
