A heartless thief was caught red-handed robbing a charity shop in Glasgow's Merchant City.
A passerby noticed the front door on the British Heart Foundation's shop on Stockwell Street was smashed on his way home from work.
The man, who asked not to be named, called police after hearing noises inside the building.
Officers caught a 39-year-old man leaving the back of the shop with a box full of stolen property.

The eyewitness said: "The man was dressed all in black and looked like he had done it before.
"Apparently there has been a number of break ins at the shop."
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland confirmed that a man had been arrested for an alleged housebreaking around 12.50am on Monday.

Adding: "We were called to a report of a housebreaking on Stockwell Street.
"A man has been arrested and charged with the incident."
