If you are from Glasgow, one of the things taken very seriously, is the traffic cone on the Duke of Wellington's head. It must remain.
The world-famous statue in Queen Street - just outside GoMA - is usually seen with a standard traffic cone on his head.
Someone has however, decided that one cone was not enough for the statue and that a grand total of six cones would suit the Duke better.
Glasgow restaurant, The Indian, shared a snap on Twitter of the statue, sporting the mountain of cones piled high above his head.
This guy will be HOT with all these hats on - but not at hot as our hot curries! #Glasgow pic.twitter.com/1BsPmYebgE

They said: "This guy will be HOT with all these hats on - but not at hot as our hot curries! #Glasgow."
Another Twitter user also spotted the Duke yesterday with more cones than usual.
On the way home my friend and I stopped for a wander around Glasgow and today, the Duke Of Wellington had not one, but four cones on his head lmao pic.twitter.com/6oQUNqczZ7

Earlier this month, the statue was seen balancing just two cones on his crown.
This is pure Glasgow. The Duke of Wellington statue is famous for always having a cone on his head... 2 cones = above and beyond! pic.twitter.com/gaWDOFGgm5

In 2011, the Lonely Planet guide included the monument of Arthur Wellesley, 1st Duke of Wellington in its list of the top 10 most bizarre monuments on earth.
Capping the statue with a traffic cone has been a regular event and is believed to date back to the first half of the 1980s.
Could this be a new record for the most traffic cones to cap the Duke?
