A FAULT with the signalling system at Rutherglen and Paisley Canal is causing disruption to trains.
Services through both may be cancelled, delayed or revised.
The Rutherglen route affected is that between Milngavie and Motherwell / Lanark, between Glasgow Central and Lanark / Edinburgh, and also between Dalmuir and Whifflet / Larkhall / Cumbernauld / Motherwell.
Disruption is expected to last until 11am.
Those who were relying on this route may use their ticket on First Buses on the following routes:
- Glasgow – Motherwell via Whifflet - 2, 18, 21, 46, 61, 64, 65, 90, 201, 263, 267, X11,
- Glasgow – Motherwell/ Cumbernauld via Hamilton 7/A, 18, 21, 46, 64, 65*, 90, 201, 240, 255, 263, 267, X1, X11
Engineers are currently on site and working to rectify the fault. Once ScotRail gets an update from staff on the ground, they will pass information onto passengers.
Trains between Paisley Canal and Glasgow Central stations may be cancelled, delayed or terminated at and started back from Corkerhill.
Disruption is expected to continue until noon.
