CHAOS has descended on Glasgow Central for a second evening as ScotRail battles to operate vital services in the searing heat.
Hundreds have been stranded in the busy station with almost all services delayed or cancelled entirely.
The issues stem from rails "buckling" due to the extreme temperatures Glasgow has been experiencing this week.

Passengers have hit out at the lack of transport available and have questioned why a contingency place has not been put in place.
One said: "I genuinely don’t believe this.
"Yesterday most trains cancelled at Glasgow Central from late afternoon. Today 3.5 hours from Aberdeen to Glasgow.
"I have been on three trains this week in Scotland- one more or less on time. Two very late. Massive cancellations again today."
