STAFF at the iconic Pavilion Theatre will finally be able to access the building next week - three months after the devastating fire ravaged Sauchiehall Street.

Workers have been desperate to get inside since the Victoria's Nightclub blaze in March, even going as far as to cover the outside walls with signs demanding they be allowed in.

But, in a Facebook post today, theatre bosses revealed they have been given an entry date prior to it's hotly anticipated reopening in September.

It said: "Great News!! We have just received an update from Glasgow City Council that, at long last, we will definitely have access to the theatre from Friday, July 6.

"It is going to take approximately six weeks to get the interior and exterior cleaned and have all the relevant safety checks carried out and we will be ready to reopen in time for Celtic the Musical.

"The box office will remain closed, at the theatre for approximately two more weeks and hopefully, staff should return by Monday, July 20. Until then, booking can be made by phone on 0141-332-1846 or online at paviliontheatre.co.uk

"Again, we would like to thank you for all your patience and hope that this assures everybody that our reopening is not too far away and have the confidence to start booking for shows again.
