LIAM Gallagher's set at TRNSM ground to a halt tonight after a reveller  climbed to the top of scaffolding mid-performance.

The man scaled part of the festival's infrastructure, which was attached to a massive speaker, halfway through the singer's set.

Many fans booed as the music was suddenly stopped in an effort to get the man to climb back down.

During the incident, Liam shouted: "Jump, or get down."

Fans on the ground also started throwing bottles at the man.

Liam then continued his set with Cigarettes and Alcohol.

Police were on standby as the man came down.

The Evening Times has attempted to contacted Police Scotland for comment.

As reported by the Evening Times earlier, eight people were arrested for minor public order offences on the first day of TRNSMT.

A further 34 people were reported to the Procurator Fiscal for alleged drugs offences, Police Scotland confirmed.

It is understood the majority of those were caught as they were searched upon trying to enter the festival in Glasgow.
