A MAJOR police presence in Nitshill was sparked because of an investigation into a missing person.

The force, including specialist forensic officers, swooped on a property at the corner of Pinmore Street and Pinmore Place on Friday morning.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman would only confirm that their presence was part of an ongoing investigation.
