AN elderly man was rushed to hospital after car flipped onto its roof in the East End of Glasgow.

Emergency services dashed to the scene on Shettleston Road on Thursday night.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Police were called to a report to a car on its roof on Shettleston Road at around 7.20pm on Thursday, July 26.

“Emergency services attended and an 83-year-old man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary as a precaution.

“The road was closed for a short period of time and it re-opened at around 9.20pm.

“No-one has been charged in connection with the incident.

“Our inquiries are ongoing.”

It’s believed the man did not suffer any serious injuries.
