DASH-CAM footage is being sought by police after a number of sports cars were spotted driving dangerously through Ayrshire. 

On Thursday, August 2, a blue coloured BMW M6, an orange coloured Nissan GTR, a red coloured Audi S5, black and yellow coloured Porsches and a blue Jaguar F-type were seen in Irvine.

They drove dangerously and at excessive speed while in the area, on the A736 Lochlibo Road and throughout other parts of Ayrshire last week.

They arrived in Irvine around 6pm on the Thursday and left around 9am on the Friday, where they proceeded north on the A736.

Constable Michael Prout, Trunk Road Policing Unit, said: "It is suspected these cars were travelling in convoy and entered Ayrshire on Thursday. Officers then observed them travelling north from Irvine on Friday.

“The vehicles were travelling at excessive speed and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed their manner of driving or may have dash-cam footage of the cars to contact us so we can identify the drivers involved.
