FIREFIGHTERS tackled a blaze at a home in Clarkston.

Two fire engines rushed to Busby Road just after 5.30pm on Sunday.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said the fire took hold in a two-storey property.

No one was injured during the blaze.

A spokesman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was alerted at 5.37pm on Sunday, August 12 to reports of a dwelling fire.

“Operations Control mobilised two fire engines to Clarkston’s Busby Road, where firefighters were met by a fire which had taken hold within a two storey property.

“Crews extinguished the fire and made the area safe before leaving the scene.

“There were no casualties.”
