MORE than 10,000 tickets have been snapped for a new Halloween experience in Glasgow - just two hours after they went on sale.

Itison's new £500,000 spectacular GlasGLOW will take place at the Botanic Gardens from October 27 to November 4, with tickets going on sale at 7.30am this morning.

Early bird pricing has seen prime slots starting to sell out within minutes as thousands of fans rush to secure their place at the event, which took a decade to plan.

Boss Oli Norman, who is investing £500,000 to make the idea he had ten years ago a reality, said: “It’s brilliant this morning to see the level of excitement and support for GlasGLOW – it’s completely surpassed our expectations and clearly shows the appetite there is for world class outdoor events in our city.

“GlasGLOW will be the most epic fantasy journey through the Botanics anyone has ever experienced tapping into the nostalgia of the amazing Spielsberg movies we watched growing up and conjuring up completely magical encounters throughout the journey.

“We’ve assembled a world class team of creatives, techs and producers to ensure this is unlike anything you’ve ever seen before and our hope is it will become an annual pilgrimage for people across the country making Glasgow the home of Halloween.

Tickets are already starting to sell out for weekend and Halloween time slots so get in quick to make sure you bag tickets before they’re gone.”

Slots will run every 15 minutes from 5pm until 9.15pm with adult tickets beginning at £12.
