A route through the Clyde Tunnel has been closed due to a collision.

Commuters have been told to expect delays after a two-car crash forced police to shut the southbound tunnel.

The tunnel came to a standstill in both directions but has since been changed to a contraflow sysyem in the northbound tunnel allowing traffic to run both north and south.

Police are on the scene to help manage traffic which has been backed up since 5.15pm.
