Cast of Still Game to appear on popular celebrity game show

Gavin Mitchell (Bobby), Sanjeev Kohli (Navid), Mark Cox (Tam), Paul Young (Shug) and Jane McCarry (Isa) are taking on the general-knowledge champions in the hit series Celebrity Eggheads.

The show began in 2003 with Dermot Murnaghan and Jeremy Vine taking on presenting duties.

In each episode, a team of quiz and game show champions (the Eggheads) is challenged by a squad of contestants for prize money.

The most prize money that has been won is £75,000.

The Still Game episode will air tonight on BBC at 6pm.

Star Gavin Mitchell took to social media to express their excitement ahead of the airing.

Although actress Jane McCarry appeared to get her air dates for the show confused. She tweeted yesterday:

Now,i’m a total fanny, that’s a given but if you need proof watch STILL GAME CELEB EGGHEADS. Tomorrow night on BBC 2 at 6pm 😀

Still Game, which was created by Ford Kiernan and Greg Hemphill, will return for a ninth and final series later this year.

Filming is taking place in and around the city over the next couple of weeks.
