EMERGENCY services rushed to a City Centre bank to deal with an incident this afternoon.
Ambulances, including an incident response unit, were positioned outside Halifax on Sauchiehall Street just before 3pm.
Police Scotland was also present.
A spokeswoman for the force said members of the public raised the alarm after becoming concerned for the safety of a man who entered the bank.
She said: “Police Scotland received a concern-for-person call at around 1.40pm.
“Emergency services attended. The man was checked over but no further action was needed.”
A Halifax spokesman added: “The Halifax branch in Sauchiehall Street was shut for around 15 minutes this afternoon while an ambulance assisted a member of the public.
“The branch is now back open as normal.”
The Scottish Ambulance Service has yet to respond to the Evening Times' request for comment.
